Changing a Keg

Exam Focus

  • Chill kegs to draft operating temperature before tapping.
  • Place kegs in the cooler at least 24 hours before serving.
  • Know the basic coupler disengage and engage sequence.
  • Reset the FOB after a keg change when the system uses one.

Same-product change

The server-level task is to remove the coupler, seat it on the new chilled keg, engage it, and reset the FOB if present. Detailed coupler-system taxonomy is outside the CBS scope.
